The Fine Art gallery in Rochester, Kent near to London, Essex, Surrey and Sussex.

The Francis Iles Gallery exhibits contemporary art, with a range of paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass and jewellery, with over 100 artists showing their work. It offers a full range of framing and restoration services. It is the largest private art gallery south of London.


	Rochester, with its Roman heritage, maritime history and association with Dickens, offers a wonderful shortbreak or a day trip from London, Essex, Surrey and Sussex and the other home counties.

		STOLEN: ALISON GRIFFINS ! “Steaming to Tenterden Station” above and “Bodium in the Snow” below. These two exquisite paintings by our talented miniaturist, Alison Griffin, were stolen from the gallery on August 17th.



	The thief made a run for the door, throwing a sculpture that he had also taken, at one of our brave girls who had tried to hold onto him. Happily the police have a good CCTV shot of him. We are offering a reward £500 for information leading to his arrest and their return, so please let us know if you hear of anything. These paintings are quite unique, appealing to railway enthusiasts particularly. As a result of this theft, we are now asking that bags should be left on the ground floor before visitors explore our latest exhibition. Please don’t be offended.
