John Peters
We are delighted to be the first Gallery to show John Peters’ work. A taxi driver by day, he lives in a house with a fast flowing stream running at the end of the garden. Fascinated with the combination of light and dappled shade, he has been painting for the last year and studying the works and techniques of the impressionists; particularly those of Monet and Renoir in an attempt to emulate their achievements in landscape paintings. He says ‘My goal is to capture the light and colour of England. All the paintings shown are taken from the Valley Gardens at Virginia Waters - part of the Windsor Great Park. The rhododendrons and magnolias have long been a source of inspiration to me.’
