                       GEOFFREY SAINSBURY

Geoffrey a professional head gardener (he is in charge of a 20 acre private garden in Wye), who loves to paint whenever he has a moment and he has enjoyed great success. 

Since gaining art among his O Levels when he left school in 1972, he painted only for fun until going on a painting holiday to the South of France in 2001, becoming inspired by the delicious contrast of sunshine and shadow and its effect on colour. He loves painting with strong light and lots going on in order to capture the moment.

He shows regularly at the Kent Painters Group in Sevenoaks and has just sold his 200th painting through our gallery.Not bad for a self taught artist who paints in his spare time!
